Amer has over 20 years’ experience of enabling individuals and groups to clarify their thinking, understand others and improve their performance. He works with international organisations to create and deliver training programs for staff at all levels.
Amer specialises in making complex concepts and issues clear, accessible and relevant to audiences with varied experiences and educational backgrounds. He delivers his seminars using a participatory approach that actively engages delegates’ own knowledge and experiences into the seminar topic. Since 1990, Amer has delivered hundreds of workshops and training seminars in over 20 countries. Recent clients include GDF Suez, DHL, Xella, Safaricom, WorldVision, L’Oreal, Burger King, Vodafone Egypt, Mobily, Mars, Taylor Wimpey, London University, Plan International, ChildHelpline International and the African Union Commission.
In addition to leadership and management programs, Amer delivers workshops on:
– decision making in complex situations;
– promoting innovation in organisations; and
– working successfully in the 21st century.
He is certified by the British Psychological Society to administer aptitude, ability and personality questionnaires including Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) questionnaires, 15FQ+ personality profiles. He is also certified to deliver the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI).
Amer has worked as an economist for Barclays Bank; as a management consultant in the public sector reform practice of Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers); and as a global strategy advisor for Plan International, a major non-governmental organisation with an income of over US$700m and operations in 60 countries. He now runs E-Merge Consulting – a management consultancy providing partnership brokering, strategy, facilitation and training services to organisations around the world.
